Artistic Team (Girls)
The purpose of the artistic team is to provide a challenging and fun outlet for girl athletes who show a great interest in the sport of gymnastics. The team competes at meets around the area in the winter/spring, and the athletes are expected to practice year-round.

The team is focused on the four events of women’s artistic gymnastics (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise). We will use trampolines as a training tool (and for fun) once in a while, but trampoline skills are not the focus of this team.

Gymnasts for our team are chosen via tryouts in May.  For the artistic team we look for strong, hard-working girls that have some basic skills, and love gymnastics! It is important that they are also good listeners and have a positive attitude. For those wishing to transfer in from another gymnastics team program, just call our office to arrange for an evaluation.

Tryouts for the girls’ artistic team will be announced around the end of April.  All girls enrolled in Novice level or higher are welcome to try out!  There is no cost to try out, but you do need to sign up so we know how many to expect.  Once the date is announced you can stop by the front desk or call us to add your name and contact info to the list.  The number of girls chosen will depend on how many open spots we have available on the team.  More information will be coming soon.
