Artistic Team (Girls)
The purpose of the artistic team is to provide a challenging and fun outlet for girl athletes who show a great interest in the sport of gymnastics. The team competes at meets around the area in the winter/spring, and the athletes are expected to practice year-round.

The team is focused on the four events of women’s artistic gymnastics (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise). We will use trampolines as a training tool (and for fun) once in a while, but trampoline skills are not the focus of this team.

Gymnasts for our team are chosen via tryouts in May.  For the artistic team we look for strong, hard-working girls that have some basic skills, and love gymnastics! It is important that they are also good listeners and have a positive attitude. For those wishing to transfer in from another gymnastics team program, just call our office to arrange for an evaluation.

Artistic team tryouts for 2026 will be held on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16. Girls wishing to try out need to sign up for one of the 1 hour slots: Friday May 15 from 4:30pm-5:30pm, or Saturday May 16 at either 9:00am, 10:00am, or 11:00am. We can accommodate 10 girls in each slot. Just stop by the front desk to add your child’s name. Girls should have both a cartwheel and a pullover on the bars to try out (so Novice level or above). Unfortunately most of the openings this year will be for spots on the fun team, but if that interests your daughter come add your name to the list! This year there will be a $10 fee due at try out time.
